Ownables SDK Technical Update – April 2025

LTO Network has implemented significant technical upgrades to the Ownables Software Development Kit (SDK), relay service, and dashboard interface. These enhancements optimize system performance, bolster security, and streamline the developer experience for integrating digital asset ownership solutions.

1. Relay Service Enhancements

The relay service, which facilitates wallet-to-wallet communication and the exchange of messages and Ownables on the LTO blockchain, has undergone a modular redesign. This update introduces support for version 2 messages, enhancing interoperability with the Universal Wallet. The architectural improvements stem from recent updates to the LTO JavaScript client library, which allows support for metadata embeddings like (Ownable’s image thumbnails, title, and description), resulting in more efficient interactions with Ownables. Additionally, we updated the JavaScript library to fix the version 0.16 branch of @ltonetwork/lto for ESM compatibility.

2. Ownables SDK Refinements

The Ownables SDK has been updated to improve its handling of version 2 messages. The architecture has been streamlined to enable developers to build on the Ownables infrastructure more effectively. Additionally, message handling and transmission have been optimized to reduce latency, thereby enhancing the overall user experience.

3. LTO Dashboard Improvements

The LTO Dashboard and its supporting APIs have received significant updates. These include enhancements to the user interface and improvements in querying meaningful data from the LTO blockchain, facilitating better data analysis and system monitoring.
